A return to blogging

Thank you to all my readers.

I haven't posted to this blog in awhile so I thought I'd explain my absence in a post before returning to wine.



I had a massive coronary earlier this year.  Don't worry, I survived.  Seven days later I had what actually was my second "Widowmaker".  A 100% blockage in the left anterior descending. Big surprise at this point, I survived this one too.

All in all I have had 4 heart attacks over the past 10 years.  Me, A relatively healthy man of 46 years.

It helps to have a good sense of humor about it.  When asked if I'm ok, I often respond with "I'll live... until the next Heart Attack." followed by a giggle and then awkward silence.

Each time I was told the Widowmaker has a 10% survival rate.  After having it twice, I have to question that little nugget of wisdom.

I will be back to posting sooner rather than later.  I will try to post a lot more about daily life in Napa instead of just restaurant and wine reviews.  Thank goodness that red wine is on my heart healthy diet the Dr. recommended.
